Brazilian Neurosurgery at Marc
Brazilian Neurosurgery at Marc is a continuous Education Program focused on the improvement of surgical techniques in neurosurgery and spinal surgery and aims to raise the level of knowledge of Brazilian and Latin American Neurosurgeons.
It will be held at MARC Laboratory, in Miami, FL, from November 9 to 13, 2020.The MARC is one of the largest laboratories of surgical technique and anatomy of the world, known for its magnificent structure and excellent quality of the anatomical specimens and the professionalism of its Staff.
The City of Miami, in Florida State, is a common destination for all Latin American countries, with direct flights from numerous Brazilian and Latin American cities.
The course consists of one module:
The wil be held in five days, including Pain Management, Endoscopic Spine Surgery Training and Spine Surgery Training has the objective in two days to demonstrate the endoscopic tool as a safe option in the management of spinal diseases and show the several options to treat pain conditions, using minimaly invasive procedures in cervical and lumbosacral spine. This hands-on cadaver course will focus on the major currently available minimally invasive surgical techniques, including transforaminal and interlaminar approaches
The Spine Surgery Training also will be held in three days. On the first day, we will have a theoretical program, explaining the surgical techniques to be approached. For the next two days, we will have intensive hands-on training within the MARC facilities. In addition, there will be, during the event, discussion of complex surgical cases and, at the end, a questionnaire, with questions and answers related to the subjects studied.
This is a unique opportunity for Brazilian and Latin American neurosurgeons and orthopedists: this is the first course to be held in this modality and with such a wide range of topics.
The lectures will be given by more than twenty outstanding Brazilian and American surgeons (neuro, orthopedic and otorhinolaryngologists), in English and Portuguese languages, facilitating the communication of all.

At the end of the event, participants will have the opportunity to review the spine's surgical anatomy, discuss complex cases, surgical techniques, indications and management of complications for various spinal surgery procedures. perform surgical techniques on newly frozen specimens (Hands-on), under the guidance of specialists, using the latest technologies and implants.
